Final project proposal

Outline of what’s going to happen:

Main person- lily
Person who is ignored by Lily- Jeff
Person who is from Lily’s past and who she texts a lot- Jordan
  • Depressed, sad, lonely
  • Whenever i get home i text someone who i miss you etc
  • Hung up on this person who is never there
  • You text them all the time and they give really vague answers
  • You always walk with your head down and don't really acknowledge the people you care about
  • All of this time, there is a person who is trying to talk to you, but you keep saying no because you still think the other person cares
  • You ask the person that you are hung up on that they should come to your music rehearsal
  • They say ok and you get really happy
  • But when the show starts, you notice they don't come
  • So you perform like a really emotional piece and everybody stands up and claps and you look out and threw person who has been trying to ask you out is in the audience
  • And you finally smile
  • And the next day the person goes up to you when the main character is at their locker and says you did so good on your performance, and eventually asks you out to coffee, and this time, you say yes
  • You two smile and walk down the hall together
I had an idea that there will be no light in the main character’s eyes, until she lets this other person in her life, and the light comes back

I think this final project will showcase some of my talents because I will be the director and write a lot of the script and such. When I was the director for “the office” scene, I realized that I really liked being the director, because I liked the idea of being able to showcase my ideas and portray them directly in a piece. I also like being in charge and I love that by being the director, I can create this story that I really believe will do good and show people how exactly they fit into it, because I do like acting too, but when I direct, I am the one who shows people how I want it. I also enjoy writing, and that is a big part of writing a script.

Final Blog Post

I think I grew a lot in my confidence since the start of this semester. In the beginning, I was kinda shy and wasn’t that fond of preforming in front of people. But now, I gained a lot of preforming confidence and am ablw to act or direct without being a little hesitant. I think this is partly because I made friends with the people in our class and felt more comfortable around them. I also think it’s because I grew as an actor and a director and I learned more about those topics and what goes into them. Though this class, I learned that I liked to direct. Reflection of "The Classroom" Scene

I think that one of our group's strengths was our use of props. We used pencils, paper, a notebook(for Lily's sign), and some of us even used our own shoes(Jordan). Even though they are small, these props, I think, helped to set the scene well. The pencils and paper helped the scene to have a classroom-type vibe. Also, Hannah used one of the pencils to break it and throw it, which I think contributed to the comedy theme and her character's personality. Lily's sign and Jordan using his shoes really just made the scene a lot more funny. I also think they all did a really great job of improvising. I think this because an example is how Jordan used his shoes, and Hannah broke the pencil. They both improvised this, and by doing that, they made it seem a little more natural. Silent Movie First Draft Reveiw

Strengths and weaknesses One strength would be the `colors of the scene. It makes it more dramatic and sad looking. Another strength would be our storyline and plot, which we think are clear for the audience. One weakness of us might be that some of our scenes are a bit confusing. However, we have been figuring that out. We are thinking we could re-do a couple of scenes to make it less confusing, and zooming in on pictures closer so people can see them.
